Newport 8200 Mainframe with PTS-OPM

The Model 8800 and Model 8200 are modular instrumentation platforms that allow the end-user to configure an application specific photonics test system. These instruments feature eight plug-in bays for the Model 8800 and two plug-in bays for the Model 8200 that accommodate a variety of interchangeable plug-in modules, including stabilized light sources, optical power and wavelength meters, optical attenuator, and optical switches. Multiple systems can be interconnected to increase channel density and many other modules are currently in development, resulting in an ever-growing module portfolio. Advanced designs guarantee that the Model 8800 will accommodate future modules, making this controller the most complete instrument for fiber optics test and measurement.

The PTS-OPM Series Optical Power Meter Modules give the Model 8800 and 8200 Photonics Test System mainframes the utility of a benchtop optical power meter along with the convenience of a modular platform.

Single and dual-channel versions of this module are available, featuring an analog output for monitoring the detector input directly with an oscilloscope or volt meter. The PTS-OPM modules utilize any one of Newport's new 918 Series low-power, semiconductor detectors.
