Agilent 81573A Optical Attenuator
The Agilent/HP 81573A is a variable optical attenuator plug-in module (single slot) for Agilent's Lightwave Multichannel Platform 8163, 8164 and 8166 series, used for attenuation and control of high-power applications. Using 9/125 µm single mode optical fibers (SMF28), Agilent 81573A features high power capability (+33 dBm) and excellent wavelength flatness for DWDM applications. Other standard applications include characterization of EDFAs, test of Raman amplifiers and multi channel transmission system testing. This HP81573A module comes with an SMF pigtail with FC/APC termination used for optimization of power loss when fibers are spliced into the set-up. This high resolution module (0.001 dB) has a typical return loss of 57 dB.
