WA-1650/1150 and WA-1100 WAVEMETER optical wavelength meters are from Burleigh an EXFO Company. WA-1650/1150/1100 are designed for accurate optical wavelength measurement of continuous wave and modulated laser sources. These WAVEMETER systems are being used to characterize active DWDM components and to calibrate passive DWDM components, test equipment and test stations. EXFO’s WA-1150, WA-1650 and WA-1100 have scanning Michelson interferometer-based WAVEMETER Technology to determine absolute wavelength. WA-1650 has the highest wavelength accuracy of these three models; However, the WA-1150 is a lower cost alternative. It has a wavelength range of 700-1650 nm (181-428 THz), an absolute wavelength accuracy of ± 1.5 pm and a display resolution of 0.001 nm. Optical power is also measured by the Burleigh WA-1150. The power absolute accuracy is ± 0.5 db and the display resolution is 0.01 db. The instrument’s front panel has controls to review data and review and change parameter values. The WAVEMETER system can be remotely control via RS-232 interface and GPIB interface.
