Newport VPH-3 Post Holder

Features a spring-leaded brake shoe design which applies a constant force to the post even when the thumbscrew is loosened allowing the orientation of an optical mount to be easily adjusted with one hand.

It comes with a Post Collar, Model C-05. The collar provide an index point for a specific post height allowing a post to be removed from a post holder and returned to the same height. It also allow a post to be rotated in a post holder while maintaining a fixed height.
