The Agilent HP 83437A Broadband Light Source is an edge-emitting LED (EELED) optical device designed for single-mode fiber component and subsystem characterization. It incorporates up to four EELEDs, offering five available wavelengths ranging from 1200 nm to 1650 nm. The option 001 adds a 1550 nm isolator, while option 005 removes the standard 1550 nm source. This light source provides high power density, significantly exceeding traditional LED sources, and supports modulation up to 100 kHz for advanced optical testing applications.
