Agilent HP Keysight 81682A Tunable Laser Source (TLS)

The Agilent (HP/Keysight) 81682A Tunable Laser Source (TLS) is a precision external-cavity laser instrument designed for accurate wavelength tuning and high-power optical signal generation in fiber optic networks and DWDM passive component testing. It supports a continuous tunable wavelength range from 1460 nm to 1580 nm covering the full C-band, mode-hop free sweeping across the entire range, maximum output power up to +8 dBm, absolute wavelength accuracy of ±0.01 nm, typical wavelength repeatability of ±0.5 pm, wavelength stability better than ±1 pm, and a signal-to-source spontaneous emission ratio =45 dB/nm, with a built-in real-time wavelength meter and Panda-type polarization-maintaining fiber outputs, enabling reliable, high-stimulus testing of optical amplifiers, EDFA characterization, and critical DWDM passive component verification.
